Spot On Trailer from Exit Philadelphia on Vimeo.
The shop was originally founded in a relatively off the radar pocket of Philadelphia in terms of "the scene", but we have always had a tight nit family, and we keep the lights on. Our vision for Exit has always been pretty simple. "Keep Skateboarding Alive". There are countless businesses doing a great job at "selling" skateboarding, but it goes beyond that. Our hopes were to support our community and grow stronger together. Creativity and Progression have been the backbone of skateboarding since day one, and by supporting small independent projects within our community we are in fact building a stronger more progressive scene for Philadelphia.
Phil Gushue has been with Exit since day one. He has put in serious time helping Exit become what it is today. We would always talk about the idea of an "Exit Video" and who would be involved. Most people have a hard time understanding how hard it is to put together a good film, and all the time and effort that goes into it. Putting your entire life on hold to follow a bunch of grown men around and document their lives on and off a skateboard. The physical, mental, and financially hardships are insane, but when Phil said he was going to do it I knew he was going to do it right. Phil rounded up a couple of the Exit guys, and a couple wild cards, and set out to make an truly amazing and original video. Almost 2 years later, some 1000 tapes deep, an absurd amount of passport stamps, 3 cars, and tons of headaches Phil is putting the finishing touches on his first film "Spot On".
The film is slated to premiere mid march. Until then check out the promo and stay tune for more updates!
